The To Be collection is Police stripped back to essentials, no elaborate backstories, no invented myths. Just a name that implies a question. To Be Super[Natural] answers it. Véronique Nyberg built the composition around a tension that runs through every phase, bright, sparkling citrus meeting warm, grounded wood. The citrus opens sharp and effervescent, catching light the way lemon zest does when you first peel it. Behind that brightness, the wood settles in slowly, gaining weight as the opening softens, until the two elements find their balance and hold there, neither dominating.
The structure rewards patience. Bergamot and pink pepper arrive quickly, setting up a crisp opening that cools as lotus enters, an aquatic note that reads as clean without being sterile. The heart shifts the energy toward warmth: bourbon geranium adds a soft, rosy edge while cardamom keeps things grounded with a spice that stays warm rather than sharp. The base is where cashmere wood earns its name. Synthetic like Orcanox, sure, but the effect is undeniably soft, a skin-like warmth that doesn't project so much as invite.
The evolution
The opening hits quick: bergamot bright, pink pepper prickling, then lotus softens everything with a clean aquatic note. Thirty minutes in, the florals arrive, geranium and freesia, present but never shouty. The cardamom keeps the warmth honest. By hour two, the top notes have settled and the base takes over. Cashmere wood wraps close to skin, Orcanox provides the balsam. What lingers isn't a cloud, it's a warmth. The kind someone notices only when they're already standing close enough to talk. The progression feels natural, each phase flowing into the next without sharp transitions, the earlier brightness giving way to something more settled and intimate.
