Virtus is a Navitus Parfums composition released in 2019, and the name carries weight: virtue, strength, the quiet kind of power that doesn't announce itself. Reading the fragrance is like turning to a chapter where restraint meets confidence, and the accord structure pulls toward sweet-woody territory with resinous and earthy undertones that give it warmth without heaviness. Cardamom anchors the top with a dry, slightly peppery lift, joined by bergamot's citrus snap, davana's herbal-aromatic edge, nutmeg's quiet warmth, and saffron's leathery thread.
What makes Virtus interesting is how it handles materials that usually dominate. Beeswax absolute and honey can drag a composition into dense, candied territory if left unchecked, but here they're tempered by the herbaceous clarity of clary sage and the cool, milky lift of fig milk.
