Inspired Warmth Men dropped in 2024 as a seasonal release, and the composition itself reads like a moodboard for late-autumn layering: knitwear weather, golden hour, the walk home when the air turns sharp. The fragrance opens with plum and ginger, two notes that lean into that cold-weather fruit-and-spice conversation without leaning too sweet. Plum brings a rounded, slightly stewed-fruit quality while ginger adds a clean, peppery snap that keeps the opening from collapsing into sugar. As the first minutes tick past, the ginger mellows and the plum darkens into something closer to dried fruit skin. The top notes settle into the heart within twenty minutes or so, and that's where the real personality begins to surface.
What makes this composition interesting is the absinthe in the heart. Mexx threads that green herbal thread between the plum and the ginger, which gives the fragrance an unexpected lift in the middle. Without it, this would read as another sweet-spicy crowd-pleaser. With it, there's a flicker of intrigue that catches you off guard on the second wear. The absinthe doesn't announce itself loudly; it drifts in as a cool, almost mentholated suggestion that plays against the warmth of the surrounding spices.
The evolution
The first fifteen minutes are all cardamom and bergamot, bright and slightly fizzy, the ginger adding a clean bite underneath.
