The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Sign Your Power continues the Sign collection's lineage, the man who succeeds in everything, known for his natural aura and taste for beautiful things. But this chapter demanded more. Fabrice Pellegrin, drawn to amber, woods, and spices, was tasked with building something that could carry the weight of the name. Intensity wasn't optional. Neither was coherence. The result is an eau de parfum that translates self-assurance into liquid form, a composition for the person who doesn't perform confidence, they simply possess it.
The red wine and plum pairing at the heart is the unexpected move. In a category crowded with tobacco and leather, Pellegrin reaches for something vinous and dark, a note that suggests a closed bottle and a conversation already in progress. Cacao deepens it, preventing sweetness from taking over. The combination is rare in men's fragrance and executed here with an honesty that respects the wearer. This isn't a party trick. It's structure.
The evolution
The opening doesn't ease in. Ceylonese cinnamon arrives within seconds, sharp, aromatic, already warm. Guatemalan cardamom follows, amplifying the heat without adding sweetness. Davana lingers in the background, its herbal quality keeping the spices from flattening. By the second hour, the heart emerges. Red wine and plum take over, the cacao adding a dark, almost bitter richness that shifts the fragrance entirely. This is where it stops being about the spices and starts being about the wine. The drydown belongs to Indonesian patchouli and cedarwood, warm woods that settle close to the skin and stay. On most, six to eight hours. On dry skin, closer to four or five. The cedarwood is the tell. It outlasts everything else.
Cultural impact
Sign Your Power occupies a specific position, the man who wants presence without posturing. In a market where bold masculines often rely on tobacco, leather, and convention, this fragrance reaches for something vinous and unexpected. The wine and plum heart gives it an edge of sophistication that distinguishes it from peers. Wearers describe it as the scent of someone who walks into a room and doesn't need to announce themselves.
