The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Move arrived in 2019. The fragrance was built for young men who live life to the max. Grapefruit and cardamom open the composition with brightness and spice, creating an immediate impression that holds its ground without trying too hard. Apple blossom adds a soft floral undertone that keeps the citrus from overwhelming. The name suggests action, play, decision, but ultimately the scent speaks for itself. It's a composition built for the moments when something reliable and present is exactly what the situation calls for.
What makes The Move's structure interesting is its straightforward approach to each tier. The top notes bring grapefruit, cardamom, and apple blossom forward without fanfare. The marine heart, featuring sea salt and geranium, is where the fragrance shifts from straightforward fresh into territory with a bit more depth. The base combines fir balsam with tonka bean, adding warmth and softness that grounds the composition rather than letting it dissipate. It's a pyramid designed to arrive somewhere worth being, rather than just cycling through notes until the fragrance fades.
The evolution
The opening hits with grapefruit brightness and cardamom spice, citrus and fresh spice working together to create an immediate, confident first impression. That citrus-spice combination holds the attention before the sea salt and geranium begin to shift the character toward something cooler, more aquatic. The heart phase reads as modern without tipping into the synthetic territory that can undermine marine fragrances. As the top notes soften, the fir balsam and tonka bean come forward. The herbal sharpness eases. The salt recedes. What remains is a warm, slightly sweet drydown that lingers close to the skin. On fabric, the tonka bean persists, leaving a trace that can still be detected hours later. The longevity holds reasonably well, with the marine notes often appearing more pronounced on warmer skin.
