Frank Voelkl built Darling Doxie around a single idea: loyalty. Not the fleeting kind, but the fragrance that becomes part of your identity, the one people recognize before they see you. Chamomile appears in the heart, not the top, which is unusual for a woody-spicy composition. The perfumer's intent was clear: dependability as a concept deserves a composition that actually delivers it. What you smell in the morning should still be there when the evening closes in. The name Doxie was chosen to represent loyalty and connection within the brand's animal-inspired collection. A companion. A signature. Something that stays. The interplay between warm, herbal notes and the underlying woody structure creates a scent that feels familiar without becoming invisible.
