The brand's name, Douze, means twelve in French. Sagittarius, represented by the archer, anchors one of the twelve positions in the zodiac, a sign that the house has chosen to interpret through scent. The release was composed to express the sign's particular energy: something that moves, opens outward, then finds its center. The result is a composition that reads bright at first contact and grounded by evening. The fragrance leans into green-spicy materials at the opening, transitions through a warm floral-creamy heart, and settles into a dry woody base.
The note structure is deliberately compact. Six materials, no padding. Coriander and lemongrass handle the opening: two green-spicy materials with enough brightness to suggest movement, enough warmth to avoid feeling clinical.
