The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Lofty Bloom arrived in 2024 from MAIOS. No named perfumer or official inspiration was provided. Blackcurrant and lychee create an immediate fruit-bright entry point, joined by mandarin orange and violet. That opening moves into jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang, building a distinct floral impression. As the fruit notes soften, rose gives the blend definition while jasmine adds a light floral lift. The composition gradually settles into a warm base of musk, sandalwood, and vanilla, creating a transition from bright fruit to soft florals and finally a creamy, woody trail.
The composition's character comes from its contrast. Juicy fruits bring light, citrus adds lift, and violet gives the opening a cool floral edge. Jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang deepen that brightness into a full floral heart rather than a simple fruit fragrance. Musk, sandalwood, and vanilla then provide a calm, softly creamy base, keeping the final impression rounded and wearable.
The evolution
The first impression is bright and articulate: blackcurrant brings a dark fruit character, lychee adds sweetness, mandarin orange adds a citrus lift, and violet introduces a floral note. That fruit-and-flower combination quickly becomes more polished as jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang develop through the heart. The floral section feels full, with rose supplying definition and ylang-ylang adding its own softly textured character. As these notes gradually recede, the fragrance moves into musk, sandalwood, and vanilla. The result is a quieter trail that feels creamy, woody, and close, with the fruit opening giving way to flowers and a soft base over time.
Cultural impact
Lofty Bloom presents a polished floral character with a fruit-bright opening and a warm, soft finish. Blackcurrant, lychee, mandarin orange, and violet establish an expressive start, while jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang create a more defined floral middle. As the composition settles into musk, sandalwood, and vanilla, it becomes gentler and more intimate. The changing layers invite repeated exploration, from the initial fruit impression to the quieter base that remains close to the skin.
