The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Ibiza Love is Lanoe's love letter to the sunny island of Ibiza, a place associated with carefree holidays and happiness. Perfumer Simone Schmelzer translated that mood into a fresh, lively floral fragrance designed to bring carefree holiday happiness back every season. Cyclamen, hyacinth and Orange Blossom create an airy opening, while raspberry, heliotrope and red rose bring color and warmth to the heart. Musk and Bourbon Vanilla give the composition a soft, creamy finish, balancing the floral brightness with sweetness that remains close and comforting.
The composition works through a playful tension: cool white flowers and citrus brightness meet fruit, powdery florals and a rounded vanilla base. Cyclamen and hyacinth keep the opening clean and lively, while raspberry gives the heart an unmistakable pulse. Red rose adds depth without losing the carefree mood, and heliotrope introduces a smooth, powdery softness. At the base, Bourbon Vanilla and Musk turn that brightness into something creamier, making the whole fragrance feel sunlit rather than sharp.
The evolution
The first impression is airy and polished, with citrus brightness and white floral air giving way quickly to a sweeter floral heart. Raspberry brings a vivid fruitiness, while red rose and heliotrope make the middle feel fuller, softer and more tactile. Instead of remaining purely fresh, the scent gradually gathers warmth and sweetness as the white flowers recede into the background. Bourbon Vanilla adds a creamy dessert-like softness to the composition, while Musk keeps the overall impression polished. The floral notes unfold in layers: bright citrus and airy white florals establish the opening, raspberry adds a rounded fruit accent, and rose and heliotrope lend the heart a softer, more tactile character. Over time, the scent shifts toward a gently sweet floral impression, balancing freshness, fruit and creamy vanilla without losing its polished character.
Cultural impact
Ibiza Love captures the carefree happiness associated with Ibiza and the idea of bringing a holiday's bright, easygoing feeling back into everyday life. The name connects the fragrance directly to the island's holiday atmosphere, while its composition expresses that mood through a vivid floral palette. Cyclamen, hyacinth and Orange Blossom open the scent with an airy brightness, followed by the playful fruitiness of raspberry and the warmth of heliotrope and red rose. Musk and Bourbon Vanilla add a creamy sweetness, giving the final impression a close and comforting character.
The House
LanoeLanoe is a niche fragrance house known for a tightly edited catalogue built around numbered compositions, including No. 3, No. 4, No. 7 and No. 8. The house also introduced Mirus I in 2015 and released G'Like, Ibiza Love, Lovely and Black in its broader line. With a name drawn from Old French and a visual language shaped by ornate bottles, bold colour and gold detailing, Lanoe occupies an expressive place within niche perfumery. The brand's catalogue spans fresh citrus scents, rich orientals and woody formulas, but its identity remains consistent in an emphasis on theatrical presentation and concentrated fragrance.
The Creator
Simone SchmelzerSchmelzer’s signature vocabulary includes incense, resin, woods, musk, pink pepper and dark fruit. She favors effects with weight and texture: incense is dry, slightly dusty and forest-like, while musks carry a woody, softly spicy character.
