Why it exists.
The beginning
This 2025 release from Jupilò finds its identity in a single, sustained note of clarity. The brief from perfumer Vanina Muracciole was to capture an abstract impression of clarity itself, the kind that resets your breathing. Muracciole built the composition around that atmospheric target, choosing bergamot and lemon for their sharp top notes, threading frankincense through for cold resin and then softening the arc with neroli and geranium. The top reads bright and almost electric, bergamot cutting through with a clean sharpness while lemon stretches it taller, colder. Frankincense threads underneath, lending a mineral dryness that keeps the citrus from feeling glossy.
The structure works because it resists the obvious route. Frankincense adds a cold mineral crack to the bergamot, transforming what might have been a simple fresh citrus into something with actual depth. Lavender might read as bracing or medicinal on paper, paired with neroli it softens into something closer to clean linen left on a towel rack. The interplay between lavender's herbal coolness and neroli's petal-warm softness creates a midpoint that feels lived-in rather than synthetic. And geranium bridges the green floralism without making the composition read as a traditional cologne.
The evolution
The opening phase is the most active part of the composition. Bergamot and lemon push forward with their bright citrus bite, frankincense smolders underneath, then lavender emerges from the back and steadies everything into a calmer register. As the citrus recedes, neroli takes the center, gaining a soft warmth from geranium's greenness. The composition reads almost soapy at this point, a clean, floral-soap impression that is gentle rather than aggressive. The soapy quality here is not the cloying, synthetic sweetness of mass-market bar soap but rather the soft, slightly waxy scent of a high-quality herbal soap, the kind with botanical ingredients and minimal additives. From the mid-phase onward, sandalwood and vetiver take over. They arrive together, a quiet dry-down where vetiver's earthiness is tempered by white musks.

Acqua di Neve finds its place in a crowded field of fresh and clean compositions by offering something with genuine character. The frankincense and lavender grounding keeps the scent from feeling like just another aquatic or citrus-forward release. It's clean and elemental in a way that reads unmistakably focused, with a winter-leaning profile that wears comfortably across seasons.
