The beginning
Heron Preston by Henry Jacques arrives in 2024 as part of the In All Intimacy collection, a series of collaborations that invite creative voices outside the perfume world to translate personal connection into scent. Heron Preston, the fashion designer known for industrial aesthetics and considered design, partnered with the house alongside Sabrina Albarello. The brief was simple: translate a relationship into raw material. What emerged is a fragrance that speaks the language of both collaborators, Preston's precision and Henry Jacques' artisanal depth, each pushing the other toward something neither would have made alone.
The note architecture is where the collaboration earns its keep. Palmarosa and bergamot open bright, almost unexpected for a fragrance built around smoke. Rose absolute threads through both top and heart, unusual, ensuring the floral element carries weight across every phase rather than disappearing into the base. Hay absolute brings a green warmth to the heart that tonka bean smooths into something slightly edible. Then the birch smoke takes over, anchoring everything that follows.
The evolution
