Desert Nocturne was conceived as a scented snapshot of a desert night, where the sky burns with saffron and orange before the darkness settles. Launched in 2019 by Evody Parfums, the Parisian house founded by Regine Droin and Cerine Vasseur, the fragrance translates the founders' love of memory-driven compositions into an olfactory landscape that feels simultaneously ancient and contemporary. The choice of saffron and oud as anchoring materials speaks to the house's willingness to embrace bold, uncompromising materials.
The note structure reflects a philosophy of contrast: saffron and oud are both intensely characterful materials, but the citrus opening and vanilla drydown prevent either from overwhelming.
