The composition earns its daylight character through the petitgrain's particular sharpness, a green, leafy bitterness that reads more botanical than citrus-clean. Guatemala cardamom and Ceylonese cinnamon sit alongside it, warming the opening without tipping into kitchen-spice territory. Ebony in the heart is the quiet structural choice, a dense wood note that grounds the orange blossom instead of letting it float off. The base leans on Ambrox and cashmere wood rather than heavier resins, which keeps the musk dry and modern rather than powdery. Nothing here tries to be nighttime.

The evolution

On skin the opening is a burst of Sicilian bergamot and petitgrain, with neroli softening the edges and cardamom building warmth underneath. The neroli reads bright and slightly honeyed, the petitgrain cuts in with that twiggy green snap, and the bergamot lends a clean rind-brightness that lifts the whole arrangement off the skin. As the early phase fades, the orange blossom opens fully, sweet but never syrupy, and the Ceylonese cinnamon settles into the back of the composition like a slow exhale, threading warmth through the floral rather than overpowering it. Eventually the cashmere wood and Ambrox have taken over, the musk arriving clean and skin-close rather than heavy, and the whole composition tightens into something quieter and more grounded. The cardamom and neroli never fully disappear.
