Why it exists.
The beginning
The name Ia refers to the traditional Romanian blouse, a garment that holds significance within Romania's heritage. Essence de Roumanie named this fragrance after the traditional garment, drawing inspiration from the warmth and ritual of Romanian home life. The composition was built around an olfactory translation of home rituals: the warmth of cozonac emerging from an oven, the spiced glow of vin fiert warming hands on a cold evening, wild strawberries gathered from fields that exist nowhere else. Each element in the blend speaks to these intimate moments, translating the cosiness of domestic spaces into scent. The fruity opening brings bright wild strawberry and blueberry softened by ylang-ylang, while green grass and wildflowers add unexpected freshness.
