The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Glam arrived in 2021 as part of Ermanno Scervino's Capsule Collection, joining Chic and Rock under one Italian roof. The fragrance presents an intriguing duality in its construction, pairing luminous citrus with a rich, velvety depth. Perfumer Jordi Fernández built the composition around a central paradox, bright, sparkling citrus against a warm, creamy heart. It sounds contradictory. It smells inevitable. The opening captures attention with crisp, effervescent notes while the base grounds everything in something soft and lasting, creating a scent that walks in and owns the room without apparent effort.
Glam opens with a burst of crisp apple, mandarin, and pink pepper, all brightness, all energy. The heart deepens into coconut cream and jasmine absolute, adding body without weight. Peony and orange blossom soften the florals further, keeping everything lifted. The base arrives with cedarwood for structure, musk for skin warmth, vanilla for the slow exhale. It's a fragrance that starts confident and ends intimate.
The evolution
The opening hits like a sharp intake of breath. Mandarin and pink pepper collide, bright, effervescent, almost sharp. Apple arrives sweet and crisp, grounding the citrus in something fruity and immediate. You smell it and your posture changes. For the first thirty minutes, this is all energy and movement. Then the coconut creeps in. Creamy, a little tropical, it softens everything. The citrus does not disappear, it retreats, becomes a background hum beneath jasmine absolute and peony. The orange blossom adds a bitter floral edge that keeps the heart from going fully sweet. By hour two, the florals have settled and the vanilla begins its slow emergence. Cedarwood adds structure underneath while musk and vanilla wrap the composition in warmth. The drydown lasts through the evening. Close to the skin, warm, faintly sweet, the next day there is still something soft and clean on the wrist.
Cultural impact
Glam sits comfortably in the warm floral category, the kind of fragrance that performs well across seasons and occasions. The coconut and vanilla combination gives it a youthful, approachable character while the jasmine and cedar keep it grounded in something more sophisticated. This balance between playful and refined makes it appealing to those who enjoy warm, feminine, slightly sweet compositions without wanting something overly saccharine.
