Jaipur Homme arrived in 1998 as Boucheron's statement into masculine fragrance, a bold oriental that wore the house's Place Vendôme authority with spices, woods, and the kind of presence that doesn't ask permission. Fraîcheur emerged as a flanker that preserved the original's spicy-warm soul while introducing bright citrus oils, bergamot and orange, alongside a more delicate aromatic construction. The house kept what made Jaipur matter. Fraîcheur achieves that same boldness differently, through citrus brightness and a lighter hand rather than a retreat from intensity.
What makes this composition work is the refusal to apologize. Too many summer versions strip away everything interesting in the name of wearability. Here, the oriental structure, amber, cinnamon, patchouli if the sources align, stays intact beneath the bergamot and orange. You're not getting a different fragrance.
