The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Celeste arrived in 2026 as part of Bibliothèque de Parfum's Eclipse Collection. The name itself leans into the celestial vocabulary that threads through the brand's catalogue, carrying forward a star-bound sensibility already familiar from earlier releases like Hurricane and Counting Stars. Celeste sits closer to the light than to the dark, a daytime reading of that same cosmic thread rather than a nocturnal one. On skin, it opens with a lift of sugared fruit and bergamot that feels like pale sunlight rather than shadow, and the whole composition has the buoyant, weightless quality of something caught between midmorning and early afternoon.
What makes Celeste worth attention is how it threads a delicate fruity-floral opening over a woody-musk base that refuses to disappear. The Georgywood® in the heart gives the midphase an almost cologne-clean brightness that most fruity florals never achieve. Paired with mint and orange blossom, it reads cool, lifted, and quietly confident. The opening sugar of mandarin and pear is balanced by the green snap of mint, and the orange blossom adds a soft, almost sunlit creaminess that keeps the florals from feeling sharp.
The evolution
The opening belongs to fruit. Mandarin and pear burst forward with a sugared, almost sherbet quality, while bergamot keeps it from tipping into candy. Violet arrives early too, giving the opening a powdery softness that reads more cosmetic than gourmand. That bright fruit phase is the loudest the fragrance gets, and it doesn't shout. It sparkles briefly and then softens, making way for the heart notes to take the lead. By the time the fragrance settles, mint and orange blossom cool the sweetness into something cleaner and more transparent, and the green brightness of bergamot lingers like an echo. The Georgywood® and cedar arrive underneath, adding a warm woody frame that grounds the airy florals and gives the whole composition a quiet structural confidence.
Cultural impact
Early community responses describe Celeste as a clean, accessible fruity floral with a modern woody backbone. It wears close and present without overwhelming, the kind of scent that invites someone to lean in rather than pull away. Its sweet-floral character gives it an immediate friendliness, while the woody structure underneath keeps it from feeling too simple or too youthful. People tend to reach for it in warmer months, or whenever they want something that feels bright and effortless without sacrificing sophistication.
