Dominique Ropion approached Deciduous Summer with a clear ambition: translate the feeling of dappled sunlight through summer foliage into liquid form. Working with Aurora Scents' vision of natural landscapes meeting contemporary sensibility, he selected tangerine to capture that first burst of warm energy before building a heart that felt rooted rather than ephemeral. The perfumer has long been drawn to compositions where brightness and depth coexist, and Deciduous Summer represents his effort to make summer feel both immediate and lasting.
The note selection reflects a philosophy of contrast: bright citrus and tropical sweetness against deeper, earthier elements. Coconut and exotic fruits provide an immediate sense of warmth and accessibility, but they are balanced by Davana's less common aromatic nuance and patchouli's grounding earthiness. Ylang-Ylang bridges the floral and tropical registers, giving the heart a cohesive richness. Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang deepen the heart into a lush floral plane, shifting the fragrance from energetic to languorous.
