The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Intuition Vision arrived in 2021 from The Dua Brand, and it reads as a study of Acqua di Gio Profumo, the 2015 Giorgio Armani composition that brought together patchouli and marine air in equal measure. The Dua Brand's take on that equation leans into the aromatic herbs that often get overlooked in discussions of the original, the rosemary, the sage, the geranium tucked between brightness and the deeper resin. Rather than restating the blueprint, the composition treats those middle notes as co-architects of the whole, giving them structural weight they rarely receive elsewhere. The result feels less like imitation and more like a focused reconsideration of what the Profumo formula was actually trying to say, with the herbal heart elevated to something closer to the headline act.
What gives this composition its particular character is the structural balance between the marine accord and the patchouli, which arrive in equal weight rather than one accenting the other. Geranium sits at the pivot point, doing the bridging work between the herbal heart and the frankincense base, lending a green-soapy thread through the middle. Rosemary and sage do more than decorate; they ground the composition in something that smells grown rather than assembled.
The evolution
The opening is almost entirely breeze. Bergamot lifts, marine notes carry that citric salt into the room, and for a moment it's the easiest thing you've ever smelled. The rosemary arrives with a dry, almost camphorous edge that feels like crushed stems between your fingers. Sage follows, softer, and geranium slips in with its green-soapy character, pulling both toward something more groomed. The transition into the base is gradual, and when patchouli finally surfaces it's the damp earth kind rather than the chocolate-dust kind. Frankincense curls underneath it, smoky and resinous but never churchy. The whole composition settles into a quiet, skin-close finish where the patchouli and frankincense do their slow work, detectable but never loud.
Cultural impact
Intuition Vision lands in the lineage of Acqua di Gio Profumo rather than the original Acqua di Gio, which means it carries patchouli and frankincense as structural elements rather than afterthoughts. That lineage matters because the Profumo composition represents a particular evolution in aromatic-aquatic perfumery, one where depth and marine freshness stopped being treated as opposites. Intuition Vision engages with that evolution directly, treating the herbal heart as co-equal with the aquatic top rather than as garnish.
