The beginning
The Dua Brand launched Supernova in 2018 as an inspired expression of Roja Parfums' Elysium, one of the most admired masculine fragrances in contemporary perfumery. Rather than reverse-engineering a single version, Dua made a deliberate choice: the Parfum Cologne brought juniper and aromatic lift; the Eau de Parfum delivered vanilla-infused leather warmth. Supernova took both. The result is a hybrid Extrait de Parfum that captures the full architecture Elysium wearers had been chasing across two concentrations.
What's unusual here is the density of the heart. A masculine fragrance that opens with tart citrus and then quietly layers in rose de Mai, Grasse jasmine, and lily of the valley is taking a risk, florals can read delicate, even fragile, against leather and vetiver. Supernova mitigates that by keeping the florals restrained and letting them function as connective tissue between the sharp opening and the warm base. The evolution
