Constellation Diamond is part of Thameen's Treasure Collection, a series of extraits that translate precious stones into scent. The collection treats each release as a deliberate pairing of a jewel or mineral reference with a dominant olfactory idea, building a reputation for jewel-inspired compositions that feel considered from start to finish. For Constellation Diamond, the central notion is radiance, something that catches light at multiple angles rather than sitting still. Perfumer Jordi Fernández composed the release as an extrait de parfum. The composition reads like following a constellation across a night sky, bright enough to navigate by, magnetic enough to keep you looking up.
Fernández built the composition around a core tension between fruit and fire. Raspberry at the top gives the scent its immediate sparkle, sharp and almost confectionery, before saffron and pink pepper add a dry, smoky heat underneath. The heart softens with cashmeran, a synthetic molecule prized for its suede-like warmth, while violet and rose lend a powdery, almost metallic shimmer. Mahonial, a modern aromatic chemical with a lily-of-the-valley transparency, keeps the middle phase from collapsing into pure sweetness.
The evolution
The first twenty minutes belong to raspberry and pink pepper, a tart-sweet opening with a sharp peppery edge that reads almost electric. It doesn't linger politely. It announces. By the thirty-minute mark, the saffron has settled underneath, lending a leathery, slightly smoky warmth that shifts the whole composition from bright to smoldering. Around the one-hour point, the cashmeran takes over. The scent goes soft, suede-like, with violet and rose blurring into something powdery and intimate. Mahonial adds a clean, almost metallic transparency that keeps it from feeling heavy. This is the phase that gets noticed across a room without trying. The drydown is where Constellation Diamond earns its extrait concentration. Roasted tonka bean and vanilla settle in around the four-hour mark, warm and resinous, while cypriol contributes a smoky, nag champa-like depth. Amber smooths the edges.
