The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Superz Budapest emerged in 2021 when Turkish perfume-oil heritage met Central-European craftsmanship. Purple Bronze arrived in 2022 as an extrait exploring a visual paradox: the softness of purple iris against metallic bronze leather. Perfumer Hüseyin Erdogmuș drew from this duality, building a fragrance that honors both fragility and durability.
Hüseyin Erdogmuș constructed Purple Bronze with deliberate contrast as the engine. Floral-spicy opening notes set up the heart's powdery florals, while the leather-and-animalic drydown provides the metallic durability the name promises. Each layer serves the central paradox: delicate iris against uncompromising bronze.
The evolution
The opening bursts with florals mingling against spicy warmth, establishing immediate intrigue. As the top notes recede, a heart of powdery iris emerges, softened by velvety rose and zested with pink pepper. Three hours in, the drydown reveals its true character: musky intimacy wrapped in vanilla warmth, amber glow, animalic depth, and a leathery foundation that ties back to the bronze-inspired origin.
Cultural impact
Since its 2022 debut, Purple Bronze has resonated with a niche community that values the blend of floral iris and warm bronze tones, sparking discussions on gender‑fluid scent expression in online forums and influencing emerging perfumers to experiment with contrasting color‑inspired palettes. Its cultural footprint is evident in the rise of limited‑edition collaborations that echo its duality, and it has become a reference point in academic talks about contemporary fragrance narratives, illustrating how a single extrait can shape aesthetic dialogues across fashion and art circles.
