Why it exists.
The beginning
Three perfumers, Sophie Labbe, Nicolas Beaulieu, and Juliette Karagueuzoglou, came together in 2020 to create something special for Ferragamo's Fashion Edition line. The brief was clear: take the Signorina spirit and push it somewhere darker, more mysterious. A collector's bottle demands a collector's scent, something with depth that rewards attention. The result is Signorina Misteriosa in its most refined, most elusive form. Limited production, full commitment.
What makes this composition interesting is the push and pull between bright, almost wild fruit and deeply grounded warmth. Blackberry and neroli open with an electric tartness that's immediately disarming. Then the florals arrive, tuberose and orange blossom, bringing a creamy, almost hypnotic quality. But the real story is in the base: patchouli and black vanilla husk create a warm, intimate drydown that transforms the entire experience. The milk mousse note adds a softness that balances the patchouli's earthiness. It's a fragrance of contrasts held in tension by skilled hands.
The evolution
The opening is sharp and alive. Blackberry and neroli arrive together, the citrus bitterness of neroli cutting through the fruit's sweetness like a blade. For the first fifteen minutes, the fragrance announces itself. Then the florals begin to bloom. Orange blossom softens the edges while tuberose adds depth, creamy, almost indolic in the best way. The hand-off happens gradually, the berries receding as the white florals take center stage. By the drydown, patchouli and black vanilla husk settle in. Earthy, warm, lactonic, the milk mousse note emerges here, rounding everything into something intimate and close. Moderate sillage means it stays with the wearer rather than announcing to the room. The drydown lasts well into the evening.
