The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Olivier Polge designed this limited edition as a fragrant ballet, a 2014 Valentine's Day tribute to the house's roots in movement and grace. Just before Valentine's Day, the house of Repetto releases a limited edition bottle in special packaging designed specifically for the holiday. Scenes from a ballet decorated with a starry sky full of love were transferred to the outer carton and the body of the elegant bottle, receiving a characteristic glow. The bottle retains the same elegant form but is embellished with glittery stars while the neck features a pink ribbon with the Repetto logo, the letter R in a circle, and the outer carton is pale pink, decorated with stars, with a picture of a ballet pair on the sides.
Cherry blossom brings its fleeting, almost paper-thin floral quality while pear lends a cool, slightly aldehydic freshness that lifts the top. The heart pairs rose, the house's signature material, with orange blossom, creating a familiar yet refined floral duet. Amber and vanilla in the base provide warmth and extension, giving the composition room to breathe on skin. The overall effect is one of subtlety and grace, where each layer supports the others without any single element overwhelming the blend.
The evolution
Cherry blossom arrives first, delicate and ephemeral, the smell of something about to happen. Pear settles in beside it, adding a cool watery quality that reads almost like the scent of a room just after rain. The florals take over as the top notes recede. Rose emerges from the heart with quiet authority while orange blossom rounds the edges into something softer, more powdery. The base builds gradually. Amber appears as warmth rather than resin, and vanilla follows, sweet but restrained, the way vanilla smells in a ballet studio rather than a bakery. What lingers is a faint warm trail of vanilla, a whisper of rose, the ghost of cherry blossom, soft and unobtrusive on the skin.
