The beginning
Weston Adam is the nose behind Phronema Perfumes, and for Nano Nucleonic Mint Summoning, released in 2024, he reached for something far less narrative and far more elemental, the cold clarity of mint pushed past its everyday associations. No toothpaste. No gum. Adam wanted to capture what mint smells like at its rawest botanical source, resin and citrus bracing the air, vanilla softening the edges without softening the conviction. The name borrows the language of summoning. Not because the fragrance conjures ghosts, but because it conjures presence. A mint that arrives, takes up room, and refuses to behave like a top note. The fragrance draws from a Song, EP, and Video, a multimedia reference point that anchors the project in Adam's broader creative output.
What makes this composition unusual is the sheer weight underneath it. Nano Nucleonic Mint Summoning stacks absolutes where you'd expect lightness. Vanilla absolute, labdanum absolute, tobacco absolute, patchouli absolute, ambergris, vetiver. The mint doesn't disappear. It gets a foundation. The aromatics, thyme, oregano, rosemary, eucalyptus, myrtle, give the mint multiple textures, some sharp, some earthy, almost medicinal. Bergamot and lemon keep the top from getting too forest-floor.
The evolution
