The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Go Go Cherry sits inside Parli Parfum's Go Go collection, one of the sweetest entries in a lineup that leans into playful, fruit-forward territory. Cherry and marshmallow were never going to be subtle choices. Parli didn't want them to be. The opening spray is almost edible in its intensity: a syrupy burst of candied cherry laced with raspberry, brightened by a squeeze of mandarin, and softened quickly by the pillowy sweetness of marshmallow. Underneath, vanilla and gardenia settle into a warm, slightly powdery cradle, giving the fruit a creamy backbone rather than letting it flash and fade. As the hours pass, suede and musk take over.
The interesting move here is the pairing: bright cherry and tart raspberry up top, then a marshmallow-vanilla-gardenia heart that leans almost pastry-like. Where most cherry fragrances go syrupy or medicinal, the gardenia and orchid introduce a creamy floral lift that keeps the sweetness from collapsing. The base of musk, oak, sandalwood, and suede anchors what could otherwise float away. It's a study in controlled sugar.
The evolution
The first 20 minutes are a fruit-stall rush: cherry, raspberry, mandarin, all glossy and bright, almost like a hard candy cracked open on a warm afternoon. Then the marshmallow arrives, and the composition shifts from sharp-sweet to soft-sweet in a matter of minutes. Vanilla and gardenia bloom underneath, powdery and warm, and the orchard disappears beneath layers of cream and cotton-candy haze. By the two-hour mark, the musk and suede take over. The sugar doesn't vanish, it recedes, folding itself into the warmer base notes like syrup soaked into fabric. What's left is a close-to-skin warmth, slightly creamy, slightly woody, with a faint sweetness that clings to clothes and hair into the next day. Even in the late drydown, the cherry never fully lets go; it just trades its candied sharpness for something rounder, almost liquefied, resting against the suede like a memory of the opening.
Cultural impact
Go Go Cherry occupies an interesting place in Parli's catalog. It's sweet enough to register as a gourmand, but the suede and musk base keep it from drifting into pure novelty. On skin, the cherry reads more like a glossy, syrup-drenched fruit than a realistic orchard note, and the marshmallow wraps it in a soft, almost edible sweetness that lingers well into the drydown. Community databases show a strong resemblance to I'm Sweet Pretty, which suggests Parli has found a formula it believes in and is quietly refining it across releases.
