Oudh Flor arrived as Ormonde Jayne expanded their oud-focused collection. The brand had built serious credibility with its oud-focused work, and this new fragrance continues that exploration. The name says it plainly: oud and flor, wood and flower, two facets of the house's vocabulary brought into one composition. Halva, that dense, sesame-rich confection, became the conceptual anchor. Not as a literal note to smell like candy, but as a reference point for the kind of warmth the heart should carry: edible, golden, comforting without being soft. It's warmth you can almost taste, sweetness that invites rather than overwhelms, a confectionary warmth grounded in the richness of oud.
Dates sit at the top of the pyramid for a reason that goes beyond flavor. A date is sweet but with a depth that gives the opening immediacy without lightness.
