The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
An opening statement. That's what Intro is, by name and by design. OMR Beauty introduced itself with this single fragrance as a debut that said everything the brand wanted to say at once. Bright citrus and spice on top, green herbal calm through the middle, warm wood and powdery iris underneath. The structure is uncomplicated on purpose. A first meeting should be easy to read. The brand positions itself around self-expression that operates outside traditional categories, with a formula that is vegan and modern in its restraint. Intro is the thesis. Everything after it, from the expanding line of scents to the perfume oils, grows from what this one composition already proved could work.
Most "fresh" fragrances collapse into the same citrus-and-musk formula. Intro avoids that trap by stacking contrast instead of similarity. Pink pepper brings a warmer, fruitier heat to the opening, a sun-warmed sharpness that adds dimension. Grapefruit cuts acidity. Ginger adds clean warmth without sweetness, a rooty spice rather than something candied. Together they create an opening that reads as temperature, not flavor, hot and cold at the same instant. The middle doesn't soften into the usual lavender-powder wash either.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are loud. Grapefruit and ginger announce themselves with the kind of brightness that catches your own nose when you lift your wrist. It's almost sharp enough to taste. Then the pink pepper settles in underneath, adding a warmth that keeps the citrus from skating across the surface. Around the thirty-minute mark the green leaves and apple arrive, and the whole composition shifts into something quieter, cooler, more like walking through a garden after rain than standing in a citrus grove. The lavender is present but not loud, more as texture than as a recognizable note. Two hours in, the top is mostly gone and you're wearing something noticeably different from what you sprayed. The sandalwood and amber have taken over, warm and creamy, with orris threading a powdery, slightly rooty line through everything. That base is what lasts.
Cultural impact
Intro arrives in a fragrance landscape crowded with genderless fresh-spicy releases, and it cuts through that noise by being unusually transparent in its construction. Rather than burying the orris and sandalwood under layers of synthetic musk, the composition lets those base notes breathe alongside the brighter top accord, which gives the whole thing a contemporary clarity that stands apart from denser fresh-woody offerings. Wearers respond to it as something approachable, the kind of scent that introduces orris and sandalwood as concepts worth paying attention to without overwhelming the wearer in the process.
