Why it exists.
The beginning
Olivia da Costa composed Fruity for Olfactive O in 2019. Da Costa translated that energy into a composition that leads with ripe berry and green leaf, then folds in spiced fruit at the center. The brand's own copy describes it as playful, impulsive, and flirtatious, a descriptor that captures the generous, unapologetic character of the scent. The formula opens with strawberry leaf and raspberry, two notes that bring a green freshness before the warmer spiced fruit takes over. Roasted apple and cinnamon build at the heart, grounded by lemon that keeps the sweetness from sliding into pastry territory. It's a composition built on contrast: bright fruit up top, warm spice in the middle, and a grounded, slightly earthy base that gives the whole thing weight.
What makes Fruity worth a second look is the structure beneath the obvious sweetness. Strawberry leaf and raspberry lead the opening, but they're not the sweet, jammy kind of fruit. The leaf gives the opening a green, almost herbal bite, the kind of aromatic sharpness you'd get from tearing a leaf off a stem rather than reaching into a bowl of jam. The evolution
