The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Marine Mercé drew from a vivid sensory memory when creating Bouquet Fragola for Nature's 2022 collection celebrating Italian flora. She imagined standing in a strawberry garden at daybreak, with dew still clinging to the fruit and lemon trees nearby. The memory had both brightness and softness, tartness and sweetness, and she wanted to bottle that specific moment. The fragrance captures the intersection of orchard and garden.
The note architecture pairs contrasting elements intentionally. Lemon brings the tart contrast to strawberry sweetness; honeysuckle provides intense sweetness against the more subtle violet; sandalwood and cedarwood create warm woody depth but differ enough in texture to avoid sameness. Ambrettolide serves as a modern bridge between fragrance and skin, allowing the scent to evolve naturally on each wearer. This approach prioritizes sensory accuracy over marketing appeal. The goal was a fragrance that smells like a place, not a concept.
The evolution
The scent journey moves from bright citrus and green fruit notes through a full-bodied floral heart into a warm woody base. The opening hits with lemon zest and woodland strawberry, that first moment of encountering ripe fruit in cool morning air. The heart develops as honeysuckle, peony, and violet bloom into a cohesive greenhouse bouquet, each florals character distinct but harmonized. The drydown reveals sandalwood, ambrettolide, and cedarwood as a trio of woody elements that ground the sweetness and extend wearability. This arc mirrors the original inspiration: a strawberry bouquet at sunrise, delicate and ephemeral before the day heats up.
Cultural impact
Since its 2022 debut, Bouquet Fragola has been praised for capturing the innocence of a fresh‑picked strawberry field, fitting Nature’s vision of seasonal vignettes. Wearers often cite it as a go‑to scent for casual outings and spring gatherings, positioning it as a modern, nature‑centric alternative to more gourmand‑heavy niche releases.
