The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Blossom sits inside the Signature Collection from Mykonos. It's a straightforward white floral built around tuberose, the kind of composition that knows exactly which flower it wants to be and doesn't apologize for the choice. The bouquet is dense and creamy at its core, layered with additional florals that give the tuberose company rather than competing with it. At the base, a touch of sweetness rounds out the composition just enough to keep the heavier florals from tipping into overwhelming territory. The result is a white floral that reads as confident and intentional, focused on a single idea rather than scattering attention across a dozen directions. There's nothing conceptual about it, nothing trying to be clever.
The note structure here rewards attention. The opening brings green notes and citrus forward, a move that keeps the eventual floral heart from arriving too sweet. That citrus-and-leaf intro acts as a sharpener, clearing the palate before the dense middle settles in. Once the heart arrives, it lands heavy: tuberose forms the backbone, honeysuckle folds in with a sticky, nectar-like quality, and a second layer of jasmine stacks on top of whatever jasmine already showed up earlier in the composition. That layering of jasmine is what gives the middle phase its weight and texture.
The evolution
The first 15 minutes are the greenest part of the whole ride. There's a sharp, just-crushed quality to the opening, like breaking a stem between your fingers, and the orange keeps things bright while jasmine threads through underneath. It's a brief overture, gone before you fully register it. By the 30-minute mark, the green notes step back and tuberose takes command, dense and almost waxy, with honeysuckle adding a sticky-sweet edge. The jasmine keeps doubling down throughout the heart, layering warmth over warmth until the middle phase reads as a deeply saturated white floral, full and almost candied at its peak. Around the 3-hour mark, the creaminess starts surfacing. Sandalwood softens the edges of the tuberose, rounding out its sharper green facets, and the vanilla arrives not as a dessert note but as warmth against skin.
Cultural impact
Within Mykonos's Signature Collection, Blossom takes its place alongside other compositions in the lineup, which includes names like Slow Living and Penthouse. It's a straightforward floral built around tuberose, handled with conviction and directness. The composition commits fully to its central note rather than hedging with too many supporting players, offering a dense white floral experience that prioritizes presence and projection over quieter, sheerer territory. The result reads as a confident take on a classic flower, one that trusts the raw material enough to let it lead without dilution.
