The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Magic Rose arrived in 2022 from My Perfumes, a UAE fragrance house founded in 1993 by Mr. Firoz Baugwala. No named perfumer or separate inspiration was disclosed, so the composition itself tells the story: Rose and Lily of the Valley make the first impression, while Orange Blossom, Caramel, and Peony form the deliberately contrasting heart. The name suggests the romantic effect of rose, but the build is broader than a simple floral. It places a bright floral signature beside a softer dessert-like warmth, moving from airy petals toward vanilla, Amber, and Musk as the scent develops.
The unusual part is the handoff from fresh flowers to caramel. Rose and Lily of the Valley provide a clean, airy opening, but Orange Blossom and Peony keep the center floral rather than purely edible. Caramel adds a rounded sweetness without removing the powdery lift suggested by the floral notes. Then Vanilla, Amber, and Musk change the temperature again, making the final impression warmer and more skin-like. That movement gives Magic Rose its identity: floral on the surface, plush underneath, and never quite as innocent as the name may suggest.
The evolution
Magic Rose begins with a bright floral pairing. Rose gives the opening a familiar softness, while Lily of the Valley keeps it clean and lifted. As the heart arrives, Orange Blossom and Peony broaden the bouquet, and Caramel introduces a smooth, dessert-like warmth that changes the fragrance's posture. The floral notes remain the main character, but the center feels rounder, almost like petals against polished wood. During the drydown, Vanilla softens the edges while Amber adds a dry, amber-colored depth. Musk leaves the composition close to skin, reducing the sparkle and making the finish feel more intimate. Over an estimated 4-6 hours, the arc moves from fresh floral brightness to a warm, powdery blend of vanilla, amber, and musk. It is the kind of scent that changes its distance without changing its identity.
Cultural impact
My Perfumes sits in the Gulf fragrance tradition while presenting its compositions through an accessible, contemporary lens. Magic Rose reflects that balance: a floral launch with regional perfume-house context, designed for the modern wearer who wants tradition and ease in the same bottle.
