The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Good Morning Jasmine launched in 2023, one of MITH's compositions that digs into a quiet kind of poetry: the moment before the day starts, when light comes through windows and the air feels like it belongs to you. The name does exactly what it promises. Jasmine, yes, but the kind you don't have to think about. Not the loud, indolic jasmine that announces itself from across the room. Not the dense, almost overripe jasmine that sits heavy on the skin. This is jasmine softened by water, kept cool, allowed to breathe. It's a jasmine for people who don't want to smell like they're trying. More like the breeze that finds you through a half-open door, carrying something green and alive along with the flowers. MITH has carved out its identity in these intimate spaces.
The note structure here is honest about its priorities. Aquatic on top means the opening is clean and brisk, a wash of cool air that doesn't try to charm you with sweetness. The flowers come next and they come loud: jasmine for brightness, tuberose for that creamy, almost carnal richness that white florals carry when they stop being polite. The green accord running through the middle keeps everything from going soft. It's the structural element, the part that gives the composition its backbone and keeps the white florals from melting into one indistinct sweetness.
The evolution
It opens like a window thrown wide: sea water first, cold and immediate, almost metallic. Then it breathes out and the jasmine arrives, not shy, not whispered. The green accord moves alongside it, giving the white florals somewhere to stand. After about 30 minutes, the tuberose shows its real hand. That dense, waxy, almost fleshy quality starts pushing through. The aquatic note isn't gone but it's moved to the background, becomes more of a memory than a presence. Two hours in, you're in the drydown and it lives close. Musk and sandalwood take over, ambergris adds that warm, slightly salty undertone that ties the whole thing back to where it started. It doesn't project much past your own personal space, which feels right for this kind of fragrance. You'll catch it on your wrist, on your collar, on a scarf pulled close.
Cultural impact
Good Morning Jasmine by Mith enters a fragrance category that has long celebrated the beauty of white florals, a family that has shaped perfume for generations and continues to influence how modern compositions are built. Jasmine itself is one of the most storied materials in scent history, a bloom that has been cultivated, distilled, and treasured across cultures for centuries. By working within this tradition, the composition takes a familiar material and treats it with a freshness that feels entirely of the moment.
