The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Forget Me Not arrived in 2026 as part of Janua's Scents of Soul collection. This one was created with Kunpimook Bhuwakul, better known as BamBam, the Thai rapper and singer. The collaboration reads cleanly on paper and lands even better on skin. The fragrance translates the idea of remembrance into something people actually want to wear daily, a powdery, floral-warm scent that feels like turning a page of a notebook you forgot you kept. The iris carries the heart with a cool, almost mineral restraint, and rose drifts in like the afterimage of a garden walked through in early morning, more suggestion than statement. Beneath those florals a faint amber warms the base, and a skin musk pulls everything close, the kind of finish that lingers in fabric long after you've left the room.
The note architecture is a deliberate study in contrast, with the sharp cool of mint and bergamot at the top colliding almost immediately against a powdery iris heart. Iris is the note most compositions get wrong. Too much reads metallic, too little disappears under amber and musk. The clean notes listed in the formula suggest a soapy facet, the kind found in vintage iris-heavy aldehydes, which gives the heart its almost-luminous quality. Rose is held at a low enough register that it supports the iris without competing, acting as warmth rather than as flower. What's genuinely interesting is the base structure.
The evolution
The first twenty minutes are the freshness chapter. Mint comes through cooler than you'd expect from a fragrance the market would call soft, with bergamot lending a transparent brightness that keeps the opening from feeling candied. Orange plays a supporting role, adding roundness so the citrus doesn't read sharp. The mint and the bergamot share the spotlight for a stretch, the orange threading sweetness between them like a held breath, until the cooler notes start to soften at the edges and the air around the wrist changes register. By minute thirty the composition pivots. The mint recedes and iris arrives with the full force of its powdery, almost mineral cool, backed by rose that smells less like a flower and more like the memory of walking past a garden in early morning. There's a clean, soapy edge that calls back to vintage aldehydes without the aldehydes themselves.
Cultural impact
Released in 2026 as part of Janua's Scents of Soul collection, Forget Me Not marked the house's collaboration with Thai artist BamBam (Kunpimook Bhuwakul). The powdery iris profile gives the fragrance a quieter center of gravity, with rose lending a soft floral lift in the mid phase and amber and skin musk grounding the base in something close and warm. The composition reads as restrained, more suggestion than statement, the kind of scent that earns its place on skin by being easy to return to. Within the Scents of Soul lineup, Forget Me Not leans contemplative rather than performative.
