Alpha

What makes Alpha work is the tension between sacred and wearable. The smoke doesn't overwhelm, it's grounded by violet leaf's cool green, sharpened by black pepper, and softened at the heart by rose. Labdanum and leather add body without heaviness. At the base, ebony and guaiac wood keep the smoke resonant long after application. It's a composition that respects what smoke can do while refusing to let it take over entirely.

The evolution

The opening announces itself immediately, incense and Palo Santo smoke, bold and unapologetic. Black pepper arrives within minutes, adding heat that cuts through the smoke. Violet leaf lingers underneath, a cool green thread that prevents the whole thing from feeling flat. Within the first hour, leather and labdanum push forward, warming the composition. The smoke doesn't disappear, it deepens, settling into the skin like something that was always there. Papyrus adds a dry, papery quality that keeps the heart grounded. By hour three, the drydown takes over: resinous warmth, ebony's dark wood, and guaiac that lingers close and intimate. Eight to ten hours later, a faint trace remains, the kind of presence that only announces itself when someone leans in.
