HMNS arrived in the fragrance landscape in 2019, the year founders Karina Innadindya and Rizky Arif DWI Prakoso Prakoso established the brand following a pivotal discovery. According to the brand's own account, their journey began on the day they found a perfumer who had spent two decades honing the craft of scent creation. This partnership marked the birth of HMNS, with the brand name itself serving as a statement of accessibility and universality, pronounced as "humans." The first fragrance to emerge from this collaboration was ALPHA, which the brand describes as the origin point of its entire history. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, HMNS built its early catalog with releases like Orgsm (2019) and Essence of the Sun EOS (2020), establishing a creative foundation that would expand significantly in subsequent years. The house continued releasing new compositions through 2021 and 2022, including Ambar Janma - Manusia Harum (2021) and Drops of Sunshine Body Mist (2022). By 2023, HMNS had developed a recognizable identity through variations like Darker Shades of Orgsm and Unrosed, demonstrating an interest in exploring olfactory families across multiple iterations. The brand maintained an active release schedule through 2024 and 2025, with The Prestige, ORGSM Melting Temptation, Untitled Humans Aroma 02, and Philea representing its most recent output. HMNS operates as an independent, unfunded company according to available business intelligence, having built its presence primarily through direct channels and social media engagement.
