Lavender is unexpected here; it usually reads herbal or even sharp, but paired with jasmine and heliotrope, it softens. Heliotrope brings that almond-vanilla haze that makes florals feel worn rather than formal. The base is where it gets interesting: ambroxan adds a marine-amber depth that keeps the praline from becoming dessert-sweet, while oakmoss grounds everything in something closer to skin than to perfume.

The evolution

The coconut hits first, creamy, sun-warm, immediate. Then bergamot and orange cut through, giving the opening a brightness that stops it from becoming heavy. You get maybe 20 minutes of this citrus-cream interplay before the florals take over. Jasmine arrives first, sweet and indolic in the way jasmine always is, but heliotrope softens it immediately. The lavender appears as a bridging element, aromatic, slightly cool, keeping the sweetness from becoming cloying. This heart phase lasts a few hours. By the end, the praline is what's left of the sweetness, settling against ambroxan's warmth and oakmoss's quiet earthiness. It stays close to the skin. Intimate.
