The beginning
Gulf Orchid built the Musk Collection around a simple idea: take something elemental and make it wear effortlessly. Pomegranate, launched in 2022, takes a fruit everyone recognizes, the ruby seeds, the tart burst, the sweetness that lingers, and gives it a structure that feels less like a fragrance concept and more like a mood. The house didn't try to complicate it. They just let the pomegranate lead, supported by florals that soften rather than compete, and grounded it in the musk DNA that runs through the entire collection.
What makes this work is the clary sage. An unusual choice for a fruity-floral, it sits beneath the caramel and bergamot like a quiet counterweight, slightly herbal, faintly nutty, keeping the sweetness from ever feeling like it's trying too hard. The lily of the valley and jasmine don't compete with the pomegranate; they amplify it, adding creaminess without obscuring the fruit. The evolution
The bergamot arrives first, sharp and citrus-bright for maybe fifteen minutes. Then the caramel creeps in and the pomegranate reveals itself, tart and juicy, almost too alive.
