The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Organza arrived in 1996, floral, oriental. A special jasmine harvest in June and July 2005 made a limited edition possible. Seven hundred kilograms of blossoms yielded just over one kilogram of jasmine absolute. Indian jasmine. The formula centers on this single flower, built around its concentrated, honest character. Nutmeg and cedar support it, giving it somewhere to rest while the jasmine remains the focus.
The honeysuckle in the opening brings a soft, sweet character that blends with the jasmine notes. The note structure moves away from some of the original Organza's earthiness, the walnut that grounded the 1996 formula. What remains is jasmine in its most concentrated form. Nutmeg and cedar don't compete with it. They give it somewhere to rest.
The evolution
The honeysuckle opens soft, almost shy, a curtain of white flowers at dusk. Then jasmine walks in and doesn't apologize for taking up space. For the first hour it stays bright, almost sharp, before settling into something warmer. The vanilla underneath starts to surface around hour two, not sweet exactly, but warm. Cedar arrives last, giving the drydown some weight. By hour four or five, the jasmine is still there, quieter now, close to skin. The next morning there's something left, a faint warmth on fabric, the ghost of what was.
Cultural impact
This edition sits within the Organza lineage. The 2005 harvest limitation gives it a rare quality. The jasmine concentration creates a different experience from lighter interpretations, with depth that carries through the wear.
