What makes the composition unusual is how few notes it actually carries, and how much each one does. Tonka bean appears across all three layers, which is unusual, tying the top, heart, and base together with a continuous thread that gives the fragrance an unusual sense of continuity from first spray to final hours. Cedarwood does the same in the middle and base, giving the structure a woody spine that keeps the sweetness from tipping into pure confection.

The evolution

The first spray is a bright collision. Orange lifts the top while amber and tonka land soft underneath, and there's a fleeting green coolness from the aloe that catches you off guard in a composition this warm. For the first ten minutes, it reads almost like a spiced citrus marmalade spread on warm toast, with the orange zest and amber sweetness sitting side by side in an unexpected but convincing pairing. Then the tobacco wakes up. Around the 30-minute mark, it steps forward, presenting a drier, more textured facet that shifts the whole composition from bright gourmand into something earthier and more contemplative. The cinnamon joins it, and the whole middle phase settles into a warm, golden groove where spice and dry leaf share equal billing. Cedarwood provides the skeleton underneath, keeping things from getting too plush or overly sweet.
