Massenet, trained in classic French formulation, approached the brief by combining botanicals like juniper berries and clary sage with modern synthetic bases to achieve a result that is both sharp and wearable.
Massenet's philosophy here seems rooted in restraint. Juniper and black pepper in the opening suggest a fragrance that leads with freshness and energy.
