The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Jasmina Night arrived in 2023 from Al Rehab Perfumes, and the name does the obvious work: jasmine, the night-blooming flower that releases its heaviest scent after sundown. But there's more architecture here than a pretty label suggests. The fragrance reads as a hybrid composition, a white floral with the polish of a boutique release, wearing the warmth of a traditional skin scent. On first contact, the top notes pull you in with a dewy clarity. bergamot, rose, and a clean solar accord that catches the light and makes you think you're dealing with something straightforward. Then the composition tilts. The heart opens into a dense stack of white florals, and the mood shifts. African orange flower brings a honeyed, almost waxy sweetness that bridges the bright top into something deeper.
What makes Jasmina Night worth a second look is the deliberate tension between its soliflour ambition and its layered construction. The rose and solar notes at the top read almost dewy-clean, a bright entrance that suggests a mainstream floral. Then the heart arrives with three assertive white florals stacked together: African orange flower, jasmine sambac, tuberose, and the combination produces an indolic warmth that tips toward animalic.
The evolution
The first 30 minutes belong to the rose. It arrives sweet, almost metallic, riding the solar notes like polished glass. Then the indolic wave begins. Jasmine sambac and tuberose push forward together, dense and almost dizzying in the best way, with African orange flower threading through to keep the heart from collapsing into pure white floral sweetness. The floral stage runs hot for roughly 2-3 hours before the base finally takes over. Incense and ambroxan ground the composition, adding a smoky amber depth that catches the lingering sweetness and dries it out. The cashmere wood and cedar arrive last, lending a soft, almost suede-like texture to what remains. By hour 5, the drydown has gone nearly skin-close: warm, musky, slightly powdery, with traces of the florals still flickering underneath. On fabric the next morning, it's still there, a faint woody-floral ghost that feels more intimate than the original spray ever did.
Cultural impact
Jasmina Night is a white floral composition that sits at the intersection of classical perfumery and modern, accessible design. The fragrance reads as a hybrid construction, one that borrows the structural clarity of a French-style floral while wearing the warmth and intimacy of a traditional skin scent. For wearers, it functions as a statement floral, assertive enough to fill a room but designed to settle close to the skin as the hours pass. The tuberose and indolic edge make it polarizing for those who prefer their florals clean and uncomplicated, but that rawness is part of the composition's character.
