The beginning
Spring Ambience arrived in 2023 from Prin Lomros, the perfumer behind Strangers Parfumerie. Lomros had spent years building a house around one conviction: that scent could carry a place the way a photograph carries a face. By 2023 the catalogue had expanded into a sizable body of work, each release offering its own particular mood or memory. Spring Ambience is his answer to the green half of the year. Not a recreation, not a postcard. An atmosphere. The name does the work it promises. This is spring as mood, not as season. The juice itself carries a pale green tint, a quiet visual hint at the grassy, leafy character waiting on the skin. From the first spray, there's an immediacy to the opening, a wet, crushed-leaf quality that feels like stepping onto damp soil after rain.
What makes the composition unusual is its refusal to stay green. Most green fragrances lean on a cool, vegetal profile and call it done. Spring Ambience threads aldehydes through the opening, a classic trick that lifts the mint and grass into something almost sparkling, almost vintage. The aldehyde here doesn't shout; it fizzes at the edges, adding a clean, soapy brightness that makes the green notes feel lifted rather than damp. There's a fizzy, almost carbonated quality to the first few minutes, like the scent is still settling into itself.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are almost cinematic. Aldehydes flash cold and bright, the kind of metallic sparkle that makes the mint read sharper than it actually is. Bergamot and mandarin warm the edges while grass and geranium push through, pulling the whole opening into something that smells like a park bench after rain, or linen drying on a line. Lavender is there but quiet, not soapy, more like a texture than a statement. By the thirty-minute mark the green recedes and the middle opens up. Bamboo and blackcurrant leaf arrive with a green vegetal sweetness. Cardamom and cinnamon warm the edges. Cedar and sandalwood start laying down. Tonka bean threads through with a soft sweetness that never goes gourmand. The drydown, from around three hours onward, is where Spring Ambience finds its final character. Tobacco, vanilla, and a clean musk settle into the skin. The freshness doesn't disappear, it just moves underneath. By hour six it reads warm and slightly herbal, a green scent that learned how to hold a conversation.

The composition moves through its own internal weather system, opening bright and aldehydric, settling into warmer tobacco and tonka territory, then drying down to something soft and skin-close.
