The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
La Corte arrived in 2018 as part of Ferragamo's Tuscan Creations collection. The perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin built this one around an idea of softened grandeur, florals rich enough to feel upholstered rather than bouquet-fresh. Easter lily, Hawaiian jasmine, almond milk: ingredients chosen for warmth and texture over brightness. The composition leans into cream and skin rather than the green, sharp edges that fresh florals often show. Pellegrin treats the florals like fabric, draping them over an almond-milk base so the whole thing reads warm from the first spray. There's no bright citrus up top to cut through, no sharp herbs to give it bite.
What makes La Corte unusual is the doubled jasmine and the almond milk placement. Pellegrin threads Hawaiian jasmine through the heart and lets Jasminum auriculatum absolute anchor the top, giving the composition a creamy, almost edible continuity from first spray to final hour. The almond milk isn't a novelty note, it's structural, the binding agent that keeps the florals from feeling sharp. Easter lily appears in both the top and heart notes, bridging the opening into the middle phase without a hard break, which gives the fragrance its seamless handover.
The evolution
