The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Prime 7 arrived in 2025 as part of PROUD's expanding Prime series, a numbered collection where each release carries its own numerical marker. The composition was built by Hamid Merati-Kashani. PROUD's Prime line runs from Prime 1 through Prime 7, giving the range a clear sequential shape. Prime 7 lands firmly on the sweeter, warmer end of that spectrum, leaning into a gourmand profile built around praline, ambrettolide, and a base that holds close to the skin. The top brings cardamom and bergamot to the surface, offering a brief aromatic brightness before the composition tips into its deeper register. Cinnamon and orange blossom shape the middle, softening the transition between the fresh opening and the dense, lactonic base.
What sets Prime 7 apart structurally is the way it bridges two worlds that don't usually share space. The opening leans on cardamom and bergamot for lift, but the core rests on orange blossom and cinnamon. Then the base pulls praline, ambrettolide, and Ambrox Super into a single soft landing. That move from aromatic-spicy freshness into lactonic sweetness is the whole architecture. Ambrettolide provides the clean musk underneath, Ambrox Super gives it that warm-skin edge, and praline makes sure the sweetness has weight rather than airiness.
The evolution
Prime 7 opens with the bright lift of cardamom and bergamot, a sharp, aromatic entry that reads almost sparkling against the cool citrus. Within minutes, plum and mandarin warm into the composition, pushing the fragrance from crisp to rounded. The heart deepens through orange blossom and cinnamon, adding a soft floral spice that bridges the bright top with the denser base. As the hours pass, praline, ambrettolide, Ambrox Super, vanilla, and amber settle into a sweet-amber-gourmand drydown, leaving a warm, lactonic skin scent that lingers for the remainder of the wear. The shift from the airy citrus-spice opening into the denser base takes roughly an hour on skin, and once the praline locks in, it tends to stay close rather than projecting widely. The vanilla weaves quietly underneath, adding a soft creaminess that rounds out the nuttiness of the praline.
Cultural impact
Prime 7 sits at the sweeter end of PROUD's 2025 Prime series, a numbered collection that gives the range a clear shape. Its profile lands in territory familiar to fans of warm, gourmand-leaning orientals, with the praline and ambrettolide base doing the heavy lifting. The community reception so far suggests the sweet-amber balance hits its mark for most who try it. It wears like a quiet, confident composition, one that leans into warmth and praline without ever overplaying its hand. The sweetness has structure to it, anchored by a clean musky base that keeps the whole thing from drifting into pure sugar.
