Why it exists.

Juniper arrived in 2017, one of Richard Herpin's early works before Precious Liquid formally existed as a brand. The fragrance is built around the idea of juniper itself, not juniper as a supporting note, but juniper as the entire argument. Herpin was composing fragrances the way a composer approaches a score: starting from a specific feeling, building outward only as far as the concept demanded. The feeling here centers on juniper's essential character, the cold, resinous quality that defines the note in perfumery. Violet leaf and sage provide structure around the juniper berries, creating a framework that lets the central note speak clearly without unnecessary elaboration.
