Why it exists.
The beginning
Fabrice Pellegrin composed VIP in 2023, approaching Playboy's evening fragrance with a distinct point of view. What emerged was a warm-cool tension: rum and white chocolate pulling one direction, aquatic and lavender pulling the other. The result doesn't resolve into one mood. It stays interesting. The composition balances rich, indulgent notes against crisp, airy ones, creating an interplay that keeps the wearer engaged. There's an unexpected confidence in how these elements coexist without either overwhelming the other, and that duality gives the fragrance its character.
The rum-white chocolate axis is unusual in masculine fragrance. Rum provides depth and warmth, a rich foundation that anchors the blend.
