The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Ameixa e Flor de Cerejeira joined Natura's Tododia line in 2017. The name translates directly from Portuguese: plum and cherry blossom, the two ingredients on the bottle. There is no grand narrative of a perfumer chasing an obsession across continents. This is Natura doing what it does best, keeping things simple and wearable, a scent that asks nothing of you except a spritz and a moment. The Tododia concept leans into the idea that fragrance does not need to perform. It can simply accompany. Ameixa e Flor de Cerejeira sits squarely in that philosophy, a composition that does not try to be more than the sum of its parts, and in doing so, becomes exactly what most people actually want from a body spray or a casual Eau de Toilette. The composition reads as immediate and accessible.
What makes this composition interesting is its restraint. Two notes, no hidden architecture, no base accord doing heavy lifting in the shadows. Cherry blossom contributes a delicate sweetness, light and airy, that sits closer to clean linen than to anything overtly perfumey. Plum brings depth, a rounded fullness with enough natural fruitiness to anchor the lighter blossom above it. Together they occupy a narrow lane between fruity and floral that most fragrances either overshoot or undershoot. This one stays right in the center. The interplay between the two notes is surprisingly balanced.
The evolution
The opening belongs to plum. It arrives rounded and ripe, the kind of fruit character that suggests a stone fruit left on a warm counter for just long enough. Cherry blossom enters shortly after, softening the fruit into something more translucent, almost paper-thin, like petals pressed between pages. The transition between the two is gentle, more of a handoff than a shift, as if one note is simply stepping aside to let the other take the foreground. There is no dramatic shift from heart to base because the composition does not lean on that traditional structure. What lingers is a softened version of the opening, the plum losing its sharper fruit edge and the blossom losing its initial brightness, both settling into a creamy, slightly warm haze that reads as more skin than scent after a few hours.
Cultural impact
Within Natura's Tododia collection, Ameixa e Flor de Cerejeira reads as a study in restraint. Its two-note structure, plum and cherry blossom, mirrors the name on the bottle, and that transparency has its own kind of appeal in a market where many fragrances arrive wrapped in marketing language about accords and journeys and hidden depths. Here there is nothing hidden. You see the plum, you see the blossom, and you get both of them in roughly equal measure. That clarity makes the fragrance approachable. It does not demand interpretation or patience. You do not need to wait through a complex opening or decode a base you cannot quite name.
