Crazy for you: The obsession arrived in 2023 as part of Maison Olfactif's debut Les Émotionnels collection, a Romanian house out of Prahova that launched ten fragrances in a single year. Built with perfumer Ioana, the scent belongs to a body of work that treats desire and fixation as creative material rather than scandal. The naming convention is deliberate, half-italicized subtitle and all, framing obsession as something to be explored rather than confessed to.
What's interesting is the structure: a riot of seven top notes, mostly citrus and white floral, stacked against a heart that immediately tilts dark with animalic and labdanum. Most citrus fragrances stay cheerful, or at least polite. This one walks into the room smelling like a Sunday market, then drops its voice mid-conversation. The amber and cashmeran bridge the two halves so the transition reads as a single thought rather than a costume change.
