The house turned to Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, the same duo behind the original, and asked them to make something that felt like the same woman, in a different light. The result was La Vie est Belle en Rose, a variant built on the same architecture as the original but rebuilt at its foundations. Less iris, more fruit. Less cream, more sparkle. The rose wasn't added to the formula, it was woven through it, so that every layer had a slightly pinker register. The perfumers described it as a fresher, more radiant interpretation, one that kept the signature smile but gave it a softer blush.

What makes en Rose interesting as a variant is how precisely it redirects the original's character rather than simply softening it. The original La Vie est Belle is built around a sweet Iris-Praline heart that reads warm and ambery. En Rose replaces that richness with a tart-fruity opening, raspberry, red berries, that acts almost like a correction. The rose in the heart brings a different kind of depth, introducing a floral brightness that shifts the overall feeling. Damask rose dominates the heart, with peony threading through to keep the composition from becoming too heavy.
